x) Related ephemera

The delightful lilianavonk left a comment about the general phenomenon of Veidtmania, she is a fellow maniac. I figured it was about time I posted some photos of things I've picked up since my last memorabilia update because I've acquired some Conrad related things too.
Click on pictures to see them in full size.

Ordered secondhand from Germany

Conrad Veidt as Cesare the Somnambulist.
Action figure from the Silent Screamers series, made my Mezco

printed screen shots from Das Wachsfigurenkabinett as a part of a collage on the wall of my new home

a Russian Vera Kholodnaya card from an online auction

a card that I believe depicts Vera Kholodnaya in her casket after her untimely death at the age of 25 in 1919

Aw, it's taken me way too long to come back and check here! I think you are delightful too, btw. :)

The fact that you have the Soister book right next to Edie made me literally do a *fistpump* in the air! Though I'm rather frightened by the size of the Cesare figurine's hands... O_O

These photos are great, though--your taste seems to be very similar to mine (not sure whether you should be chuffed or slightly terrified of this fact ;).

Although it's by no means wholly Connie-centric, I did start a Tumblr several months ago, just because I needed somewhere to channel my boundless extent of Connie-related squee (although the archive is probably a better way to see which pictures of Connie I've posted).

Since then I've met some wonderful fellow Veidtophiles--including the lovely Jools and ergyerg, both of whom have commented here as well--but I've been meaning to come back here and check in with you too; now, I'm so very glad I did.

I became entranced with silent film when I was very young, but it's only recently--now that I am slightly less young--that I've actually made friends with folks on the internet who are interested in it as well. The fact that I might actually be acquainted with people who know the difference between Mae Marsh and Mae Murray is IMO a wonderful, wonderful thing. :)

Keep up the great work! :D
